Tomahawk Steak with Vine Roasted Tomatoes


  • 1 Tomahawk steak
  • 2 vines of tomatoes

    Preheat the BBQ with the BBQ Grid in place for 3-4 minutes on a medium – high heat. Add a little oil to the grill just before cooking.

    Meanwhile season the steak on both sides – pressing the salt and pepper into the meat. Add the steak to the grid and cook for 4 minutes – do not be tempted to push and turn, let a crust form.

    Turn the steak over and reduce the heat to low. Pop the lid on the BBQ and cook for 25 minutes.

    Remove the steak from the BBQ and allow to rest for 15 minutes. While you rest the meat add the tomatoes to the grill, drizzle with oil and cook with the lid on.

    Slice the steak and serve with the griddled tomatoes and a sprinkling of flaky sea salt.
